The weather may not have always been on our side this summer – but at our place, that’s never been enough to stop the good times rolling with great friends, delicious food and a seriously good tipple or two!
We’ve teamed up with our friends at Wild Idol to celebrate the season in the best way we know how: with a deliciously moreish cocktail that celebrates the freshest homegrown ingredients that make the most of summer in the garden.
Wild Idol is a premium non-alcoholic sparkling wine that we’re big fans of at THE PIG – so much so, that you’ll always find them ready to pour behind our bars from Cornwall to Kent.
Together, we’ve created our new Summer Spritz, bursting with flavours from fresh lime and raspberries to homegrown basil and Wild Idol Rosé. You’ll be able to get your hands on this refreshing summer cocktail exclusively at your favourite PIG until the end of August 2024 – best enjoyed stretched out in the sunshine in our higgledy-piggledy gardens and grounds.
Here’s a taste of what’s inside.
Wild Idol & THE PIG Summer Spritz
Ingredients:
- 20ml Homemade lime basil cordial
- 100ml Wild Idol Rosé
- 50ml Fever Tree Mexican Lime Soda
- 5ml Raspberry Willy’s Apple Cider Vinegar
- Ice
Method:
Build the ingredients in a wine glass filled with cubed ice. Stir, and garnish with a generous sprig of homegrown basil. It’s the delicious taste of summer in a drink!
