THE PIG welcomes well-behaved dogs to stay in a small number of rooms across most of our hotels, excluding THE PIG-in the wall and THE PIG-on the beach*. We kindly ask owners to help us respect the sensitivities of all our guests and staff by asking you to follow our Dog House Rules to avoid ending up in the doghouse! We do not permit dogs inside the restaurants, although they are welcome to join you on a stroll around the grounds or for outdoor dining when our terraces are open. Please note at THE PIG-in the wall we only permit guide dogs into the property.

Children are more than welcome at THE PIG in the New Forest, both in the restaurant and to stay. At THE PIG in the New Forest we have family specific rooms, lodges and cottages.

We’ll never tell you what to wear. Our restaurant at THE PIG in the New Forest is informal and relaxed, so come in whatever makes you happy and comfortable.

Breakfast: Typically for residents only from 7-10am Monday-Friday and 7.30-10.30am on Saturday and Sunday

Lunch: 12pm-2.30pm Monday to Friday, and 12pm-3pm Saturday to Sunday.

Dinner: 6pm-9.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 6pm-9.45pm Friday to Sunday

Afternoon: We don't serve a traditional afternoon tea, however we do offer an afternoon menu of homemade piggy treats and sweet treats. Our Afternoon menu is served from 12pm-5:30pm in our lounge areas and on our outside terrace.

Wood Oven: The Wood Oven is currently closed for the winter months but will be re-opening in Spring 2025. 

Lunch bookings are advised, however, Dinner bookings are essential! Please note we do not take bookings for the Wood Oven or Afternoon Menu.

THE PIG in the New Forest is a great place to hold a party. Our Green Room seats up to 14 people and even has its own garden terrace. Find out more here. For anything bigger, whether it’s a wedding or any other event, we do offer an exclusive-use package from £50,000. The package is available for Monday-Thursdays between January-July and September-November, excluding bank holidays and subject to availability. We offer monetary vouchers, as well as a lunch, dinner and treatment vouchers. These can be purchased here.

Breakfast at THE PIG in the New Forest is served in the restaurant where you can choose to either dig into our PIG grazing breakfast tables or pick something hot from our breakfast menus. Prices range from £17.95-£22.95.

You can check in from 3pm at THE PIG in the New Forest, however, you’re more than welcome to arrive earlier to drop off your luggage and explore the gardens. 

Check out is by 11am. We ask that you leave your room by this time, but please enjoy the surroundings all day. We can’t guarantee an early check-in or late check-out, but stick around and let us know your plans and we will try our best on the day.

All rates shown on our website, quoted over the phone, or provided through other means are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse any booking for valid reasons. Our hotels offer various room types, with rates based on the number of occupants per room. Prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling, and all online payments will be processed in Pounds Sterling.

For these plans, your credit card will be charged the full amount upon reservation. We currently have two Universal 11kw electrical charging points for vehicles at THE PIG in the New Forest if you require charging during your visit. These are free of charge to use for PIG guests, fully compatible with all electric cars. Full charge for your car will depend on the size of your battery e.g. a 40kw battery will be fully charged within 4-5 hours. Please note you will need to bring your own charging lead, and once your car is fully charged we ask you move it to a regular parking space.

Restaurant: Please speak to our Restaurant Team at THE PIG in the New Forest if you have any questions about the menu, allergies or dietary requirements when you arrive.

Wood Oven: Please advise your server of any allergies or dietary restrictions. We cannot make gluten-free flatbreads as the oven will be used for the regular flatbreads so there is guaranteed cross-contamination. 

If you wish to have the option to cancel your room free of charge (up to 72 hours before arrival), we recommend booking one of our "Free Range" rates. Please email reservations@thepighotel.com if you need to amend your stay.

A late cancellation (within 72 hours of arrival or outside the defined cancellation policy of the rate booked) or a no-show (failing to arrive on the scheduled date) will result in a charge of one night's accommodation at the first night's rate of your booking. This charge will be applied to the credit or debit card provided during booking.
