At THE PIGs, everything in our house has a story behind it. From the wine menu covers in our restaurants to the lampshades in our cosy lounges, our bits and bobs have all been purposefully collected and have had a life well-lived and well loved.
That’s why we couldn’t be more excited to be welcoming Somerset local and iconic English Fashion Designer Alice Temperley to THE PIG-near Bath for an evening of great food and refreshingly honest conversation about her commitment to slow, sustainable fashion – and the stories behind her independent brand, Temperley London.
Rooted in Somerset, Temperley London has beauty and respect for nature at its heart – and, like us at THE PIG, every piece is meaningful, inspired by the English countryside and is devoted to storytelling and traditional craftsmanship.
Hosted by Alice’s best friend, presenter, social media beauty and fashion director and sustainability expert, Scott Wimsett, join us for a seasonal summertime feast and an intimate conversation full of warmth, humour and cheekiness… just like being a fly on the wall to two friends catching up!
You’ll also get to browse and buy from an exclusive Temperley London pop-up shop packed with one-off samples, special vintage gowns as well as a curated collection of bridal dresses (and much more!) in the heart of our rustic Old Dining Room.

What time?
You’ll be able to shop the exclusive pop-up from Temperley London from 11am on Thursday 5th June in The Old Dining Room. At 6.30pm, we’ll officially kick off the night with a Somerset Cider Brandy Garden Cocktail and platters of moreish Piggy Bits to graze on, before getting settled to hear from Alice Temperley at 7pm.
If you’re sleeping over, you’ll be able to revisit the pop-up in the morning until 10.30am for last-minute, special buys to take home!
How much?
£95 per person, which includes a Somerset Garden Highball Cocktail on arrival and platters of Piggy Bits to get the evening started. You’ll dig into a family-style, two-course feasting PIG supper gathered around one table (if you and your friends have booked, just give us a shout and we’ll make sure you’re all sat together. Everything will be prepped ahead of your arrival, right down to the name cards on the tables!). Each course will be served with perfectly paired wine, and you’ll have the best seat in the house to sit in on a cosy, intimate conversation with Alice Temperley and Scott Wimsett.

Get to know our friends...
Meet Alice Temperley
Launching her eponymous brand, Temperley London, just a year after graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2000, Alice Temperley MBE is still at the helm today as creative director.
In 2011, she was awarded an MBE for services to the Fashion Industry. As a member of the British Fashion Council Advisory Board, Alice is passionate about supporting emerging designers and is an Ambassador for Women for Women International, raising funds through sample sales and dress auctions to help female survivors of war rebuild their lives.
With Temperley London, Alice has created a playful and iconic wonderland known for intricately embroidered floor-sweeping gowns, sharply tailored three-piece suits, trademark knitwear and immaculately cut separates – each piece is crafted from the best quality fabrics and perfectly finished.
Meet your host
Scott Wimsett started leading content agency bespokebanter.com in 2006, that fast became the go-to digital agency for global talent and brands. Over the years, Scott has been the fashion/beauty correspondent for multiple media platforms from British Vogue to Hello Magazine and he hosted the first Royal Ascot podcast “A New Era in Style” in 2022 with his focus on reimagining sustainable fashion options for formal occasion wear.
Most recently, Scott has joined forces with supermodel Jade Parfitt to bring Bath Fashion Festival to the masses and he holds the solo Ambassador role for the festival in 2025. Scott lives between London and Somerset with his artist husband Frederick Wimsett and their son Jacob.
What you’ll be shopping…
At our one-off Temperley London pop-up*, you’ll get to browse an eclectic, classically bohemian and incredibly special collection of one-off samples (so once they’re gone, they really are gone!), timeless knitwear and daytime dresses, as well as the lasting details – from handbags and sunglasses to scarves and kaftans. Plus, you’ll get a peek at some iconic evening pieces from cocktail dresses to vintage gowns, as well as a special few hand-embroidered and embellished bridal dresses.
The shop will be open from 11am on Thursday 5th June 2025 in The Old Dining Room at THE PIG-near Bath until 7pm, so if you’re local (or are simply swinging by to our house!) you can pop in throughout the day to browse – and if you’re coming straight from work, you’ll still have plenty of time to get some special buys before the evening properly begins!
