Book NowThe places we are lucky enough to call home around the UK are pretty special. Hugged by over 7,700 miles of coastline studded with wild headlands, secluded sandy beaches and shingled shores, there are so many opportunities to embrace the open water – and all the benefits it brings – right on our doorstep.
The ocean is for everyone; and at THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay, we’re lucky enough to be a stone’s throw from the water in north Cornwall, home to a tight-knit surfing and cold-water swimming community.
That’s why we’re inviting you to join us this March, in partnership with Finisterre, as part of B Corp month celebrations and in honour of International Women’s Day. This special evening you'll hear from inspiring female voices from a B Corp certified brand and some local charity partners, for an honest and open talk on how to foster accessible and inclusive surfing for women and girls.
Hosted by Demi Taylor, Director of the London Surf/Film Festival, you’ll hear from three local industry leaders:
- Adele Gingell from Cornwall-based outdoor clothing company, Finisterre
- Yvette Curtis founder of Wave Wahines, a surf club changing the narrative, and also representing marine conservation charity, Surfers Against Sewage
- Tina Beresford from surf therapy charity, The Wave Project (our chosen local charity partner at THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay)
You’ll be warmly welcomed into THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay with a PIG Kitchen Garden inspired non-alcoholic tipple and moreish plates of Piggy Bits to nibble on in our cosy, candlelit restaurant. Then, make yourself comfy and settle in for the panel discussion with a glass of PIG Cut wine (on us!) where you’ll also have the chance to ask our speakers your own questions at the end.
