Occasionally we have last-minute availability during the week and at weekends… why not pack up for an impromptu trip away?
THE PIG-in the wall is a little oasis of calm in the big city! Characterful rooms, grazing breakfasts and a locally-sourced deli counter with a difference! Our city-centre bolthole features 12 unique bedrooms with cosy corners and oodles of quirks. You’ll experience rustic wooden tables and chairs, sink-in sofas, a roaring log burner and peaceful nooks in our open plan lounge.
Surrounded by Hampshire countryside and coast, with the New Forest National Park on its doorstep, ancient streets to wander around, the ferry to the Isle of Wight just there and a reputation as one of the largest shopping hotspots in the South, you are not short of things to do when staying with us.
Whether you are staying for business or pleasure, THE PIG-in the wall's convenient location close-by to the cruise terminal and the city centre makes it the perfect place to stay with plenty of things to do!

Children are welcome at THE PIG-in the wall and we can accommodate cots (free of charge) and an extra bed (at a small additional cost) in some of our rooms, subject to availability. We can also offer twin-bedded, ground floor and disabled-friendly rooms.
Unfortunately we no longer permit dogs to stay at THE PIG-in the wall, with the exception of guide dogs.
Unless we are running a special deal and it is stated within the terms, all of our rates are on a room only basis so are inclusive of VAT only. Breakfast at THE PIG-in the wall will be charged as taken, with a choice of £14 for a continental menu with plenty of options to choose from or £18 for Piggy Pan cooked breakfast with continental options included.
You can check in from 3pm at THE PIG-in the wall, however you’re more than welcome to arrive earlier to drop off your luggage and relax in the house. Check out is by 11am. We ask that you vacate your room by this time, but please feel free to enjoy the surroundings all day. We can’t guarantee an early check-in or late check-out, but do let us know your plans and we will try our best on the day.

If travelling to THE PIG-in the wall by car, we have a safe and secure car park for our guests that is £12 for overnight.
Breakfast: Breakfast is available for residents only from 7-10am Monday to Sunday. Choose from a continental menu from £13.50 or a Piggy Pan cooked breakfast with continental options included for £17.50.
All Day Dining: 12pm – 3pm and 5pm-8pm Monday to Thursday and 12pm- 8pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Drinks are served until 10.30pm.

At THE PIG-in the wall there is wheelchair access through the gravel car park as well as a ground floor room, however this may be difficult to access with wider wheelchairs. All rates shown on our website, quoted over the phone, or provided through other means are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse any booking for valid reasons. Our hotels offer various room types, with rates based on the number of occupants per room. Prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling, and all online payments will be processed in Pounds Sterling.

If you are looking to book THE PIG-in the wall for a larger hire, whether it’s a wedding or any other event, we do offer an exclusive-use package from £8,000. The package is available for Monday-Thursdays between October-November and January-March, subject to availability. We currently have one 11kw Tesla and one 11kw Universal electrical charging points for vehicles at THE PIG-in the wall if you require charging during your visit. Full charge for your car will depend on the size of your battery e.g. a 40kw battery will be fully charged within 4-5 hours. The Universal charger is fully compatible with all electric cars. Please note you will need to bring your own charging lead, and once your car is fully charged we ask you move it to a regular parking space.
Restaurant: Please speak to our Restaurant Team at THE PIG-in the wall if you have any questions about the menu, allergies or dietary requirements when you arrive.
If you wish to have the option to cancel your room free of charge (up to 72 hours before arrival), we recommend booking one of our "Free Range" rates. Please email reservations@thepighotel.com if you need to amend your stay.
A late cancellation (within 72 hours of arrival or outside the defined cancellation policy of the rate booked) or a no-show (failing to arrive on the scheduled date) will result in a charge of one night's accommodation at the first night's rate of your booking. This charge will be applied to the credit or debit card provided during booking.
