Really a restaurant with rooms, we have an obsessive commitment to home-grown and local produce. What we can’t grow or rear ourselves, we source from the surrounding Bath and Somerset area, creating our 25-mile menu. Get away from it all with sink-in sofas, miles of countryside and coast to explore, locally-sourced suppers, Kitchen Garden wanderings, relaxing VOYA treatments in our rustic Potting Sheds and beds so cosy you won't want to leave!
Each PIG has its own unique identity and staying with us in Somerset is no different. You’re right in the heart of it over here, with no short of things to do, surrounded by the rolling Mendip Hills, a short drive to many of the West Country's hot spots, and you may spot a few of our fallow friends along the way!

THE PIG welcomes well-behaved dogs to stay in a small number of rooms across most of our hotels, excluding THE PIG-in the wall and THE PIG-on the beach*. We kindly ask owners to help us respect the sensitivities of all our guests and staff by asking you to follow our Dog House Rules to avoid ending up in the doghouse! We do not permit dogs inside the restaurants, although they are welcome to join you on a stroll around the grounds or for outdoor dining when our terraces are open. Please note at THE PIG-in the wall we only permit guide dogs into the property.
Children are more than welcome at THE PIG-near Bath, both in the restaurant and to stay. At THE PIG-near Bath, some of our rooms are suitable for an extra bed or cot, just ask us when booking and we can arrange this for you upon your arrival. We also have some interconnecting rooms which are suitable for families. Please email reservations@thepighotel.com to find out about the availability of these rooms.
We’ll never tell you what to wear. Our restaurant at THE PIG-near Bath is informal and relaxed, so come in whatever makes you happy and comfortable.
Breakfast: 7am-10.15 am Monday to Sunday
Lunch: 12pm-4pm Monday to Sunday
Dinner: 6pm-9:30pm Monday to Sunday
Afternoon: We don't serve a traditional afternoon tea, however we do offer an afternoon menu of homemade piggy treats and sweet treats. Our Afternoon menu is served from 3pm-5pm in our lounge areas and on our outside terrace.
Wood Ovens: Our Wood Oven is now closed for the winter months and will re-open in Spring 2025.
Lunch bookings at THE PIG-near Bath are advised, however, Dinner bookings are essential! Please note we do not take bookings for the Wood Oven or Afternoon Menu.

A real get-away location perfectly situated between Bath and Bristol, THE PIG-near Bath is a great place for a get together! We have a mix of rooms to choose from depending on who is it you're getting together.
The largest of our dining rooms, The Old Dining Room, seats up to 20 of your nearest and dearest around a rustic dining table, our garden inspired spot, The Kitchen Garden Table seats between 8-12 people and our characterful and cosy Billiard Room, seats up to 12-16 and is perfect for long leisurely suppers or meetings. Unless we are running a special deal and it is stated within the terms, all of our rates are on a room only basis so are inclusive of VAT only.
Breakfast at THE PIG-near Bath is served in the restaurant where you can choose to either dig into our PIG grazing breakfast tables or pick something hot from our breakfast menus. Prices range from £16.95-£20.95.
You can check in from 3pm at THE PIG-near Bath, however, you’re more than welcome to arrive earlier to drop off your luggage and explore the gardens.
Check out is by 11am. We ask that you leave your room by this time, but please enjoy the surroundings all day. We can’t guarantee an early check-in or late check-out, but stick around and let us know your plans and we will try our best on the day.
At THE PIG-near Bath we have a small lip access to the hotel, through either front door or through the private dining space. There are small ramps in place for wheelchairs, with access to ground floor rooms and the garden of the hotel. Please note our rates stated are at a starting from price at THE PIG-near Bath, and fluctuate throughout the year depending on season. We sometimes run offers and Late Pig Room Rates.
We currently have two 7KW Pod Point electrical charging points for vehicles at THE PIG-near Bath if you require charging during your visit. You will need to use the POD Point App to access the charger, and will be charged 75p per kWh of charge; overnight charging is required for full charge. Charging will require use of the Pod Point app and a registered account - this can be found at https://pod-point.com/products/driver/app. These POD charging points are fully compatible with all electric cars but please note you must bring your own charging lead. Once your car is fully charged we ask you move it to a regular parking space.

Wood Oven: Please advise your server of any allergies or dietary restrictions. We cannot make gluten-free flatbreads as the oven will be used for the regular flatbreads so there is guaranteed cross-contamination.
