A bit about us…
At heart, THE PIGs are restaurants with rooms where everything starts with the Kitchen Garden. Our Gardeners and Chefs work hand-in-hand to create menus brimful of the freshest seasonal flavours. What we can’t grow ourselves, we source from our local heroes, the best farmers, fishermen and foragers we know, the foundation of our 25 mile menu. We are obsessive recyclers and restorers: from vintage fabrics and china to DIY on-site smokeries and upcycled chicken sheds, we love anything home-made and ultra-local.

There’s no place quite like the south-west in the autumn and winter time, with miles of rolling hills, roaming wildlife and picture-perfect chocolate box villages to explore…it’s the best time to pull on your wellies and go leaf-kicking through the countryside! THE PIG-at Combe is nestled in the Otter Valley right on the border between Devon and our neighbours in Somerset. Our secluded, honey-coloured Elizabethan gem is also just 15 minutes from the coast making it the perfect place to explore the very best that the west country has to offer!
It all starts in the Kitchen Garden
There’s a saying in Devon that ‘if you stick your finger in the ground it will grow’, and the Kitchen Garden is the beating heart of THE PIG-at Combe. There are 3 walled gardens - the vegetable garden, the herb garden and the infusion garden.
Thanks to THE PIG-at Combe’s location being 8 miles from the coast the menu consists of fresh fish as well as the very best Devonshire cheese and locally reared meat from butchers around the market town of Honiton.
The bedrooms are pretty comfy too! With rooms just made for two, wow-wee rooms, rooms with a view, outdoorsy rooms and rooms for your whole gang – whatever you want from your stay, we have got you sorted.

20% off mid-week stays at THE PIG-at Combe, Sunday to Thursday, from 25th September – 31st March 2025 – rates vary and are subject to availability. Excludes week commencing 23rd December – Wednesday 1st January 2025, and Bank and Public Holidays).
Offer is available across multiple nights. Please note that the discount applies to the room only. Food, drinks and Potting Shed treatments are not included in the 20% off. The first night is payable at the time of booking and the balance on departure.
Should you need to cancel or amend your reservation please contact us at least 72 hours prior to the day of your arrival – if you cancel after this time you will incur a cancellation charge for the full amount.
